About Rover| Roshanak Morrowatian

Unnoticed details and forgotten stories take the leading role in the work of Rover | Roshanak Morrowatian. As an artist, she explores the physical roots of memory, fluidity of traditions and the diasporic identity.
About 5.566 km: Stories of Sheroes
Morrowatian is doing this research together with her mother: teacher Mahnaz Heygharnejadi. During the first residency, they dived into the studio with the question: what was your dream as a young woman?
Protests have erupted in Iran since the death of 22-year-old Jina Mahsa Amini in September 2022, the first counter-revolution led by women and queer people. 5,566 km: Stories of Sheroes tells the story of another generation, a generation in exile but with the same dreams of freedom.
*Presentation will be in Dutch.
