Ground That Binds Us is a dance duet shaped by a shared origin sensed rather than named. Two performers move through weight, proximity, and full-bodied presence, revealing how a common cultural ground can form different bodies and voices. The work unfolds as a physical dialogue where memory is carried in gesture, rhythm, and stillness. Without relying on narrative, the duet traces what is passed on, absorbed, and transformed over time. Grounded and intimate, the movement allows inherited knowledge to surface quietly, suggesting a bond that exists beyond choice, one rooted in land, history, and the body’s capacity to remember.  

Leonarda Lovreković and Lucija Miletic both come from Croatia and studied dance in the Netherlands. As interdisciplinary artists, they explore the connection between character, personality, and storytelling. Sharing a strong bond and roots from the same homeland, they come together to express, unite, and share their artistic voice.
