Sculptural Dining

February 6th 19:45-20:15 February 6th 22:05-22:40 FRAS 3

Between human and clay, dining and sculpture, watching and being watched, a living sculpture unfolds.

Sculptural Dining explores the tension between stillness and movement, authenticity and performance. Two performers, half human, half clay, navigate a meal prepared by a food designer while a livestream captures every gesture. Clay responds to touch, sculpture transforms with each bite, hierarchy shifts continuously. The work questions how we behave under observation and when performance ends and genuine connection begins. Audience participation is invited but never required. The food is delicious!

Liza Houben is a visual artist she creates sculptural, monumental installations that explore biological life cycles and reproduction through a feminist lens. Her work always begins with sculpture, the preservation of stories in matter.

In collaboration with: Nora Ramakers, Lisa Schamlé, Mattia Papp
