A continuous interactive run-through of a theater play, capturing acting in daily life.
Are you nervous when first meeting someone? Do you find yourself playing boss or putting your best foot forward at work? ALS DAN (the run-through) invites the audience to join a continuous run-through of a theaterplay about acting in daily life. Each scene exaggerates typical daily interactions and connections between eachother. Challenging the audience to showcase their everyday acting skills. “If you hear ‘action’, then you come in, okay? Action!’
Production duo Rosa Hanssen and Lara van der Poel have been collaborating since their studies at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. They went from creative writing during their studies to writing scripts and producing interactive theatre. Their shared ambition is to highlight the oddity of everyday life through language, music, image, and body. Yannick Bronkhorst, a recently graduated actor, and Ariane Groot, a self-taught musician, complete the collective. Together, they transform their ambition into interactive, live performances.
