An interdisciplinary body of work that explores the materialization of speech through sculpture and sound.
In “ — ”, senakirfa A. reflects on the materialization of speech through a decor of personal belongings and recorded sound. She explores how objects become evocative instruments that locate memory and mimic speech.
senakirfa A. (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist and poet(ic) learner from, and currently based in the Netherlands. A.’s work across sculpture, writing, sound, and zine-making, is an extension of A.’s poetry practice, through which she explores what she terms poetic in(ter)ventions: an amalgam signifying what African-Diasporic worldmaking ushers in.
