Potato

February 6th 20:20-20:50 February 6th 22:15-22:45 FRAS 2

We love potatoes. It’s like our identity.
I remember my grandma peeling potatoes.
I love the way she sits…
“Don’t!”
I open my legs and delve into the journey of peeling potatoes.

Potato contrasts the cultural body with a stereotype-free version of one's own identity. It explores the power, fragility, and rich history embedded in peeling potatoes and the open-legged sitting posture.

Generations of women pass through this performance: the carefree young girl, the fierce and rebellious teenager, the sensual woman, and the wise, nostalgic grandmother. Each embodies a piece of our shared history. This time, the piece is performed by a pregnant woman’s body.
