Weitz / Murugarren

Weitz and Murugarren have made several stage pieces in recent years, in which live music has always been a main element. Their enquiry into the making of absurd, sonic-theatre performances consists of thorough interrogation of the capacities of music instruments, namely drums, vocals and body.

Second Chance is a concert performance based on rhythmical grooves, odd motion and piercing text. A pretence of rapping and heterodox flamenco, a flow of free verse and dissident movement accompanied by a variety of beats. SC is the band that never made it, it works from its failure playing with absurd entertainment and satire, testing the borders between concert and interaction, scene and language, staging and processing in order to fail again, but to fail better.
